Man with Family

About

Man with Family is a personal blog of, well, a middle-aged man with a good-sized family.

I write this blog to provide creative outlet for musings on life and the world. I'm in my 40's with five kids and a long-time marriage. I currently live in the South, but I've lived all over the U.S. I have a full-time job and this is just for fun. Any comments or opinions I express here are solely mine. You may know me, but I'll neither confirm nor deny my "real name," at this time. I know, "Privacy is an 'old man's word'," but then, I am an old man. When I decide to out my name, you'll be the first to know.

If you're going to read this blog, there are a few things you need to know. If this bothers you, you might want to find another blog to ready.

  1. I can't spell. Get over it. I'll run the spell check and spend some time reviewing my posts for spelling and grammar errors, but I'm going to miss a few. I don't want to hear about.
  2. I like commas. I write like I speak. Commas help express the tone and pattern of my voice. I think today's style guides put too much emphasis on removing commas. If you're of the modern Style school, I don't want to hear about my comma usage, either.
  3. Don't abuse me. Comments are moderated, but still. Don't feel a need to go off on a tangent about something I write. If you don't like it, ignore it. Find another blog to read. Life's too short.

There you have it. Use the "Contact" form to send questions directly to me or feel free to post blog-related comments on the specific blog post.
